Andrii Serhiienko

Solo founder, AKITAKI

Andrii wrote two books on WebRTC — the technology that lets browsers make phone calls — before he built a dial pad that runs on it. He's spent twenty years building high-performance distributed systems, most recently at Scientific Games in Stockholm.

He's also Ukrainian, living in Sweden, with family and friends spread across time zones. International calling isn't abstract to him — it's how he stays in touch. When Microsoft shut down Skype, the part he actually used — cheap outbound calls to real phone numbers — disappeared into Teams at enterprise prices.

AKITAKI is the dial pad he wanted for himself. Top up a voucher, open a browser, dial. No app, no phone system, no AI. Credit never expires.

Why AKITAKI exists

The tools for calling abroad have gotten worse. Skype is gone. Teams is priced for corporations. The alternatives are phone systems pretending to be simple, and simple apps that keep adding features until they're neither.

AKITAKI is a bet that a dial pad in a browser — and nothing else — is what most people actually need. Not a phone system. Not an AI assistant. Not a team collaboration platform. Just a way to call any phone number, pay for what you use, and get on with your day.

What AKITAKI will never do

  • Add a subscription tier that auto-charges you
  • Build an AI that listens to your calls
  • Add inbound numbers, SMS, or video
  • Expire your credit balance
  • Turn into a phone system

How this works

Infrastructure

Calls run on Telnyx — the same carrier-grade network used by major business phone platforms. Not a hacked-together VoIP setup.

Payments

All payments go through Creem, a PCI-compliant Merchant of Record. We never see your card details. Creem handles VAT and sales tax in 50+ countries automatically.

Privacy

We don't record calls. We don't transcribe calls. We don't sell data. The dial pad is the product — not your call metadata.

Guarantee

Money-back guarantee on your first voucher. If AKITAKI doesn't work for you, you get a full refund. No questions.
